"And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance.

And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him - his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah .

And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful." Qur'an, 4:100

I see George is a popular name. Parents are too lazy to sew his name into his clothing so they buy at Asda.

Posh names: one study showed

"He notes that there are more than three times as many Eleanors at Oxford than we might expect, given the frequency of that first name among girls in the general population, and Peters, Simons and Annas are not far behind. Conversely, there is less than a 30th of the expected number of Jades and an even smaller proportion of Paiges and Shannons. An Eleanor is 100 times more likely to go to Oxford than a Jade.
However, there is no evidence that it's the names causing such a marked discrepancy, rather than other factors they represent, Clark says. Different names are popular among different social classes, and these groups have different opportunities and goals."

"That's something that's emerged in modern England that didn't exist around 1800," he says. When he re-ran his study, but this time looking at students attending Oxford and Cambridge in the early 19th Century, he found the correlation between names and university attendance far less marked. First names simply weren't the social signifiers they are now."

When I worked in a prison I speculated that Darren or Dean would be the most common names there. When we looked it up it was Mohammed or similar spelling that easily outstripped the English chav names.

Mad Dog.

What are the current 'feral little bastard' boy and girl names among your pupils? Teachers are good value for this sort of info.

Re: Muhammad Is Top English Baby Name for Fifth Year Running
This is not a good indication of Muslims taking over I'm afraid Ridi you halfwit, it's an indication of the fact that it's tradition for Muslims to name sons Muhammad so a massive percentage are given that name and then a different middle name... hence no obviously Muslim sounding names in the girls list as there is not one name that loads of them get called.

Hope that helps.

Fifth - the stat isn't even true.

Mo comes in at 8th in the all-England listing.

It's only in London and the West Midlands that Mo tops the list.

Fifth is right, I remember looking at the crew list of the ship I worked on and about 99% of the Banglas had Mohammed as one of their names, I think it's a religious thing?
